For Military & DoD Families

Military Child Care Services

Top Spot Academy partners with Child Care Aware® of America to provide fee-assistance child care for service members and DoD employees in Orlando.

Thank You For Your Service

Quality care, supported by your branch

Child Care Aware® of America (CCAoA) is the Department of Defense's contracted partner for off-installation child care fee assistance. They serve more than 10,000 military children every year by helping families afford licensed, quality-rated child care when an on-base CDC slot isn't available — or when the commute makes it impractical.

Top Spot Academy is a registered fee-assistance provider. From infants through 8th grade, your child receives curriculum-based learning (Abeka, Learning Beyond & Creative Curriculum) while CCAoA pays the subsidy portion of tuition directly to us — you simply cover the family co-pay.

Eligibility

Who qualifies?

Eligibility is set by each branch and the Department of Defense. Final approval and award amount are determined by Child Care Aware® of America based on your service status, household, and income. In general, you may qualify if you meet the criteria below.

EFMP families: Respite-care hours are also available through Navy, DAF (Air Force & Space Force), Army, and Marine Corps EFMP programs — separate from monthly fee assistance.

  • Active duty in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces (Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard)
  • Activated/deployed members of the National Guard or Reserves
  • Eligible Department of Defense (DoD) civilian employees
  • Surviving spouses of military members who died in the line of duty (program-dependent)
  • Wounded warriors and combat-related wounded service members
  • Both parents working, in school, or actively seeking employment (single-parent households automatically qualify)
  • Total Family Income within branch program caps
  • Child between 2 weeks and 12 years old (program age varies by branch)
